Steps

  1. scrub cucumbers, but do not peel. cut off ends. slice paper thin (very important). sprinkle with salt and let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
  2. drain and rinse to remove salt. squeeze dry.
  3. combine sour cream, vinegar, salad oil, sugar and dill. pour over cucumbers. add salt and pepper taste. chill before serving.
